"CMUPortugal Summit 2020 - New frontiers in Tech” will bring together experts from Portuguese universities, Carnegie Mellon University and companies to present ICT research progress in areas as diverse as Health, Forests, Security, Artificial Intelligence, Language Technologies, Machine learning, among others.
This will also be an opportunity to know in detail the 10 large- scale collaborative projects launched in 2020 under the CMU Portugal and explore the many opportunities offered within this scope for research collaborations and training opportunities in ICT at top Portuguese Universities, companies and across 7 CMU departments. With an average investment of around 2M€ each and driven by Portuguese companies, these projects represent a significant public and private investment with the ambition of placing Portugal placing Portugal as a pioneer in defining new technological frontiers.
Participants will have the opportunity to work together on topics such as “AI for extracting value from data”, “From the data center to the edge”, “Languages for the Future”, “ICT for Future Health” and “Safe Forests” in 5 workshops led by Portuguese and CMU researchers and industry representatives.
